🔧

Multiple systems that don't talk

😤

It feels too complex to fix

You don't want to pay for a full-time book-keeper or expensive accountant charging $450+ per hour.

You should be aware of the 6 Gaps in your Payments process

Most businesses are stuck in first gear. Here's what you're missing:

1st Gap

Your connected app to Gateway Settlement Data

You know a transaction was authorized for $100 by your connected app and the gateway sends you back $97.10. Your app may not automatically receive or store the final settlement amount and timing.

2nd Gap

Gateway Settlement to Bank Deposit

The app reports a deposit of $97.10 on June 15th. The Bank Statement shows a deposit of $96.85 deposited on June 16th. The gap is the bank-level fees and timing differences aren't captured.

3rd Gap

Individual Transactions to Batch Settlements

The app shows individual transactions for $100, $50 and $200. The gateway shows a single batch of $2,847.50 net. The Gap is which specific transactions were included in which settlement batch.

4th Gap

Disputes and Chargebacks Impact

The app shows a transaction completed successfully. The reality - a Chargeback occurred 30 days later with funds withdrawn. The gap is in the post-settlement adjustments that aren't automatically reflected.

5th Gap

Refund and Adjustment Tracking

The app processes a Refund Request for $100 transaction. The Gateway provides a partial refund of $75 (restocking fee kept) and the gap is in the final refund amount Vs requested amount discrepancies.

6th Gap

Multi-Currency and Cross-Border Transactions

Your app captures USD$100, Customer charged EUR 89.50, Merchant receives USD$98.20 (after conversion fees). The gap is in the currency conversion rates and international fees.
